-
Our day program helps adults build relationships and independent living skills through community-based activities and bi-vocational training, counseling support, and service opportunities. It runs year-round weekdays 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. with transportation in Crook, Weston, and Johnson Counties, and enrolled 168 participants statewide in summer 2025.
-
Our Residential Program provides adults with special needs a safe, supportive home where they can live as independently as possible with appropriate supervision. It also promotes personal growth and community belonging by helping others recognize residents’ meaningful contributions.
-
We work with the Wyoming Department of Health to provide case management for the Home and Community-Based Waiver, helping individuals with intellectual disabilities access long-term care. We support families through eligibility and waitlisting, as well as securing funding for vital services like our day and residential programs.
-
We provide Children’s Mental Health Waiver services for youth up to 21, coordinating family-centered support and resources for mental health challenges. Over 12–18 months, our program aims to keep families together and help children stay stable at home and in their communities, avoiding hospitalization or juvenile justice involvement.
-
Our statewide Driver’s Education Program guides participants from studying for the permit test through simulator practice, behind-the-wheel training, and the official driving exam. With patient support at each step, we help individuals build safe driving skills, confidence, and greater independence.
-
We partner with local businesses to offer supported, hands-on job training where participants build real workplace skills alongside job coaches and often transition into independent roles or employment. With us providing transportation and coaching, our program benefits both individuals and employers through strong community partnerships.
-
Our social interaction program helps participants build healthy friendships and communication skills, including conflict resolution and dating. By inviting community members through “reverse inclusion,” we create a more connected, inclusive community where no one feels alone.
-
Our self-advocacy program helps participants take charge of their lives by managing schedules, appointments, and responsibilities while learning respectful conflict resolution. By understanding their disabilities and embracing strengths, they build confidence to advocate for themselves and others.
-
We provide daily pick-up and drop-off transportation in Moorcroft, Buffalo, and nearby areas, filling a critical gap when caregivers can’t drive. This reliable service supports greater independence for participants and meets a common unmet community need.
About Us
ABLE was founded on November 10th, 2022, out of one mother’s love and determination to create opportunities beyond limits. ABLE is a community where people of all abilities can find purpose, friendship, and belonging. Ranging from day programs to drivers ed, ABLE meets the needs of those with special needs who are done with high school and would like to continue growing.
